BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. — A site coordinator has been named for Sullivan County’s future Family Justice Center.

Sullivan County District Attorney General Barry Staubus announced during a news conference Wednesday at the county’s Justice Center in Blountville that Karen Boyd, of Kingsport, will serve as coordinator. Boyd previously worked as a lawyer and mediator.

Help from law enforcement, the Department of Children’s Services, legal services, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and Abuse Alternatives will all be offered to the public at the center for victims of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, sexual assault and exploitation. The goal is to house all the resources, most already available, that victims need in one place.
